Miko Simangan is a multi-passionate creative - with music and coffee as his chosen playground. He is one of the Co-founder of Clean Beach Coffee, a seaside specialty coffee shop in La Union which focus towards championing sustainability in the coffee industry, implementing eco-friendly practices. A coffee professional for 16 years currently working as the head coffee roaster and barista trainer for YKW Coffee Roasters Manila where he mentors new barista and contribute to cafe setups in the Philippines.
Miko Simangan actively competed in national and international barista championships from 2009 to 2017. He competed twice in the ASEAN Barista Team Championship in 2019 and 2022 and also applied for Coffee Masters in 2019, 2020 and 2023. In 2020 he got into the final 16 but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
