At Löfbergs, we're not just passionate about crafting the perfect cup of coffee – we're also dedicated to doing it the right way. From the moment we source our beans to the second they hit your lips, we strive to be sustainable, fair and inclusive in everything we do.
Committed to sustainable coffee

We buy our coffee (or kaffe, as we like to call it) directly from the countries where it's grown, cutting out the middleman where we can to support local economies. Our entire range is 100% certified sustainable in the UK and we're one of the world's largest buyers and roasters of organic and Fairtrade coffee. Our development projects have already helped over 115,000 small-scale coffee growers. We power our roastery with renewable electricity and are constantly dreaming up more climate-friendly packaging – and we're not stopping there!

Setting sail for a sustainable future

We're not ones to back down from a challenge, and when it comes to shrinking our carbon footprint, we're going full steam ahead. Our latest mission? 100% fossil-free sea transport! We've partnered with Scanlog to fuel our ships with biogas, cutting CO2 emissions by an impressive 1,800 metric tons. Sure, it might cost us a bit more, but we think it's a small price to pay for a greener future.

Planting the seeds for change

We all know that the biggest emissions come from farming the coffee beans, so we've launched a ground-breaking initiative to revolutionise the whole industry from farm onwards. Through agroforestry, reduced chemical use and innovative digital tools, we're helping coffee farms restore nature and slash their climate impact – all while boosting farmers' incomes. We're kicking things off with a pilot project this year to test the waters and build a commercial offering that'll make waves.

Full traceability and transparency

We believe in using data-driven systems to follow the progress of our coffee farmers and tailor our efforts to their needs. With complete traceability and transparency, you can discover everything about your coffee online – from where it was grown to how it was farmed. It helps trace our sustainability efforts and projects, ensuring they're making a real, positive impact on people and the planet.

Embracing the circle of sustainability

By 2030, we're aiming to be more circular (or cirkulär, as we call it). We're talking 100% recyclable, renewable and recycled packaging, zero fossil fuels and minimal waste. Even the coffee waste from our production gets a second life as planting soil. And since human rights and the health of the planet go hand in hand, we're aiming to source all of our coffee through recognised international sustainability standards like Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade and Organic by 2025.

Join us on our sustainability adventure

This is just a small taste of how we're putting sustainability at the heart of everything we do. We're not just here to make delicious coffee (although we’re passionate about creating superior quality and taste). We're here to make a difference, one cup at a time. So why not join us on our sustainability adventure?

When you partner with Löfbergs, you're not just stocking another coffee brand – you're giving your customers a cup that's as good for the planet as it is for their taste buds. And to all you coffee aficionados out there, whether you need a burst of Swedish energy to kick-start your day or a calming catch-up with friends, we've got a sustainable Löfbergs blend that'll hit the spot – and it tastes even better knowing we’ve sourced and produced Löfbergs sustainably, looking after people and the planet at every stage.
