The Danish Bakery: How to create hygge with upcycled ingredients in baking
Danish Bakery is back to highlight more hygge and social dining together with their new take on upcycled ingredients and how to create added value in baking. They bring their new Social squares with Spent Grain Flour, plant sauagerolls and Mocca bun with KAFFIBRETM .
Social Square
The new Social Squares are more than just a pastry for sharing. They are baked with our well known soft dough where we have added Spent Grain Flour and fresh sourdough.
Each of the four flavors has a unique taste and expression due to the toppings and fillings that they each have. Spent Grain Flour is flour produced by the Danish company Agrain who upcycle leftover grains from the brewing industry and makes it into Spent Grain Flour, which has a better environmental footprint and a unique optic, and delicious taste to our Social Squares.
The Social Squares are four rolls baked in one tray, which makes them easy to serve and perfect for sharing and social dining. They come in the delicious flavors of cinnamon, cocoa, black currant and Gooseberry.
Moccabun with KAFFRIBRETM
In the effort to contribute to a more sustainable and circular production, Danish Bakery have been working with Kaffe Bueno on a product made with KAFFRIBRETM, which is basically a product made from coffee grounds.
The Mocca Bun is made with their well-known soft dough combined with KAFFRIBRETM in the dough, in the filling and decorated with a blend of sugar and KAFFRIBRETM.
Plant sausageroll
We have created two delicious tasty plant sausagerolls, with sausages made by Peas of Heaven that are based on sunflower and pea protein. They are baked with our signature soft dough and each has its own unique flavor. You can choose between the classic version with tomato ketchup or the spicy one with a chorizo seasoned sausage and chili ketchup.
