Describe your journey in the coffee industry so far including any notable career achievements to date
My professional career began at Onibus Coffee in Tokyo, one of the finest coffee shops in Japan. After undergoing various training sessions and passing barista certification tests, I developed a wide range of skills, from foundational techniques to advanced applications, while working behind the bar.
What's your favourite coffee filter recipe, and why?
I prefer recipes with a higher brew ratio poured at a slower flow rate. A clean coffee with a balanced sweetness and acidity is a key element of the coffee I enjoy.
What motivates you to participate in the Coffee Masters competition?
Coffee Masters is a competition that tests the all-around skills of baristas. It is incredibly exciting, unique, and fair. Participating in this internationally prestigious competition is a wonderful challenge for me, and the experience will contribute to my growth.
