  • Latte Art Live

Boasting some of the world’s best latte artists, this experiential area enables visitors to take part in 35 minute hands-on workshops and demonstrations to learn the techniques and skills needed to create jaw-dropping masterpieces. The exciting four-day programme will also include daily latte art throwdowns.

World-celebrated latte artist Dritan Alsela stole the show at the feature's New York Coffee Festival launch back in September 2016, with hundreds of visitors flocking to see him pour intricate designs. And here's a reminder of The London Coffee Festival 2017’s equally impressive:

Who will be pouring their heart out in 2018, we hear you ask? Watch this space as all will be revealed very soon...

THE 2017 machine

Slayer's Steam

Bar flow and workspace are often overlooked when considering equipment and technology. Both should encourage a clean and efficient bar flow, and designs should be adored and celebrated by the user, the barista, and the guest. Slayer has always managed to hit the nail on the head when it comes to this, which is we chose the Steam as THE machine for Latte Art Live 2017.

THE workshops

Workshops by Ozone Coffee Roasters

Our friends at Ozone Coffee Roasters not only provided a beautiful array of coffees for Latte Art Live 2017, they also hosted a series of Back to Basics workshops on the Latte Art Live stage throughout the Festival.

Anson Goodge, Head Trainer at Ozone says...

'Back to Basics looked at the fundamental techniques required to create controlled, consistent latte art. Crema retention and definition are the two most basic techniques to master. Precise control over your milk's stream ensures a unbroken crema and smooth creation on shapes. Smooth control over the cup allows you to get closer to the surface of your espresso creating perfect definition.'

Plus, we partnered up with Ozone to create a series of latte art tutorial videos, so you can get ahead of the game by honing your home-barista skills now. Here they are:

Latte Art Throw down Grand Finale

Speaking of prizes, those who stopped by the Latte Art Live stage for the Barista Blend Smackdown Final saw top baristas from all over London going head-to-head across multiple design categories in a bid to be named the 2017 Barista Blend Latte Art Champion! Who will win in 2018?
